Short trip at weekend – Long Beach

In South California, there are a few coastal cities like Santa Monica and Long Beach. Santa Monica is a must go place. Apart from Santa Monica, I want you to know about Long Beach, another beautiful city. I would recommend the area that has Aquarium of the Pacific. A lot of yachts are parking at the bay; seagulls are flying in the sky; a lot of people are walking around. XD

Except looking at gorgeous scenery, you can ride on a bike, going on a cruise, or going to aquarium. There are a lot of stalls and shops. If you are a big fan of shop around, stalls there are your best choices. Today, I chose to go on a boat tour. 45-minutes boat ride with explanation from the captain, it is a good choice of activity.

After the boat trip, dinner time had arrived. There are a lot of choices of restaurants such as Yard House or Outback steakhouse. I would also like to recommend a place for dessert – The Funnel House. I believe funnel cake is their main desert. I order a fundae tonight. It is a funnel cake with ice cream with syrup on top.

If you get tired of thinking what to do at weekend, and you do not want to go too far away from your home, Long Beach is a good choice.

Los Angeles Fashion District

Los Angeles is a diverse city and a fun place to visit. You can have different activities such as shopping, going for a movie, hiking, and eating. One of the most interesting activities would be “shopping”. In Los Angeles, you can choose Beverly Hill as your shopping center. If you want a budgeting shopping, LA Fashion District in Los Angeles is highly recommended.

It is located in downtown Los Angeles. It is easier to visit; you can take metro that you do not worry about parking. Apart from a uncovered district, there are many small boutique in a building across the street. If you want to explore different kinds of good, this building is a good choice for you.

P.S. I have been to Fashion District but outdoor one. I accidentally found indoor shop area because I went to an interview in that building. Such a good explore!

Seafood night in San Pedro

After getting into a job market, the life will become busier. No time for gaming or TV shows. When you have limited time, the great thing is you have time to relax in the weekend. I have been in Los Angeles area for a while, but I do not go out too much. This weekend, I have chance to go further place, and get Seafood.

Pan Pacific Village located in San Pedro Harbor has many seafood restaurants. Most of them are attractive. You can order one plate / meal for your own, or you can choose your favorite ones from a wide range of seafood. After you pick what you like, you can just simply hand to the restaurant and they will cook for you. It is a great thing that you can enjoy fresh food of different choices in one plate.

New Year In Los Angeles

Happy new year….

I am very excited to have a beautiful new year in Los Angeles. Grand Park in Los Angeles had count down activity. Many people in this area to wait for 2017. Los Angeles is a diversity city that “Happy New Year” appeared on the building had different languages. It was cool.

Grand Park is a nice at night. After count down, we enjoy parties there. There are a few parties hosted by different group. We went to two of them.

I thought this area was a fountain. I found that it is a ground filled with water, and people can walk on it. People look like walking on the water!

The temperature of Los Angeles was pretty low, but I did not feel cold. The weather is extremely nice in California, especially winter.

Winter time in SoCal

I know winter time has been for a while. This is my first time to have winter in Los Angeles or South California. I feel so excited. Because of Fall season, the tree turned to red or yellow color, which is beautiful.

SoCal Usually does not rain, but it rained in winter time. It was really cold.

When I was going to Macy’s on thanksgiving day, I saw there was snow on the mountain. It was pretty cool and I hope I could see snow in United States. Maybe, I need to go to other states or go to the north to achieve this. LOL

Traveled Back to Hong Kong in early November (Part 2)

I have not been here for weeks because of my final project. I would like to finish my trip back to Hong Kong this post. I would like to share images of the buildings in central area in Hong Kong, which look similar to downtown Los Angeles. I think big cities in different area would look alike.

Here is downtown Los Angeles. I took this picture when I got off from the bus. This area is not that crowded as the area I used to go. Although it is more crowded in downtown Los Angeles than other area, it is till spacious. I love it ^.^

I love downtown Los Angeles at night. It is also like Hong Kong at night. I did not take a picture of Hong Kong at night. 😛

Here is the end of sharing the post 😛

Traveled Back to Hong Kong in early November (Part 1)

I would like to talk about Hong Kong Street Food in Part 1.

I have been busy to come on here. After completing projects, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, I get a chance to come on here. And, I also get a chance to talk about Hong Kong on this blog because I went back Hong Kong in early November.

After 18-hour flight (including a stop in Korea), I could meet my friends and family. The first thing I want to share is Hong Kong street food. The first street food is Waffles. We call it “Kai Da Chai” (Cantonese). The shape of the waffles is made for eating when walking. You can just tear off one small piece. You can actually find this food in a cafe in San Gabriel. In Los Angeles, I would get Churros; In Hong Kong, I would get this waffles. You could get waffles many places in Hong Kong.

Another food street is Rice noodles. People usually eat it with a lot of sauces: soy sauce, sweet sauce, and peanuts sauce. For me, I love to add peanuts sauce only. There it looks plain.

The follow snack was from a big mall called SOGO in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Chocolate paste filled inside a crispy cookie. Honestly, that was first time to eat it. 😛 Beware that the currency of the price is HKD. Therefore, this snack costed $2 only.

Hong Kong people are busy. I guess this is a typical life in city. We love fast but we have a Hong Kong’s one. We call it Hong Kong cafe. ( I would call it Hong Kong fast food instead). We call this type of restaurant “Cha Chaan Teng“.

I have wanted the food for a long time after I came to United States but I have no chance to have one. I had had food there for a few times when I went back Hong Kong.
